(Major League BaseballCLEVELAND) — Chicago White Sox rookie Jose Abreu continues to dazzle. On Saturday, the first baseman launched his 29th home run of the season, the most in the MLB so far this year.

“He’s good,” said White Sox manager Robin Ventura. “I’m glad he’s on our side.”

An All-Star selection this year, this two-run blast broke a scoreless tie in the top of the fourth and powered Chicago (45-50) to a 6-2 win over the Cleveland Indians. Abreu is 7-for-35 with five homers against Cleveland (46-47) this season.

“I wasn’t thinking about a home run,” Abreu said. “I was trying to hit the ball the other way. I hit a line drive, and I was lucky it went out of the park.”

So far this year, Abreu is hitting a respectable .287 and is second in the majors with 73 Runs Batted In. Scott Carroll (4-5) picked up the win in his second straight while Zach McCallister (3-5) took the loss for Cleveland.

Adam Dunn would add an RBI in the sixth to make it 3-0 before the Indians cut the gap to one on Michael Brantley’s solo home in the eighth. The White Sox then added a trio of insurance runs in the top of the ninth to ensure the victory.
