(NEW YORK) — AMC released new information and photos from the set of the Breaking Bad prequel Better Call Saul on Friday.
The show is currently in production in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and the release came as part of the Television Critics’ Association Press Tour. The photos feature series stars Bob Odenkirk, reprising his role as Saul Goodman from AMC’s hit show and Michael McKean. The network also confirmed that the list of series regulars will include Breaking Bad‘s Jonathan Banks returning as “fixer” Mike Erhmantraut, along with McKean from This is Spinal Tap, Rhea Seehorn of Franklin & Bash and House of Lies, Patrick Fabian from Grey’s Anatomy and Big Love and Michael Mando from Orphan Black.
The show will feature characters who play on both the “legitimate and illegitimate side of the law.”
AMC notes that the series will be set six years before Goodman meets Breaking Bad‘s Walter White, and will begin his transformation from “small-time lawyer searching for his destiny” to the criminal lawyer he was in Breaking Bad.
The first season will consist of 10 episodes, the first of which was directed by Breaking Bad creator and showrunner Vince Gilligan. The show has already been greenlit for a second season of 13 episodes.
