Car Burglaries Up in Eastern Idaho

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – Car burglaries are on the rise around eastern Idaho. Idaho Falls Police say there were several vehicle break-ins at the Belmont Estates subdivision Tuesday night.

In Pocatello, burglars are prowling car dealerships at night looking for unlocked doors. At Phil Meador Toyota, a suspect reportedly tore out a center console and stole a gear selector.

Authorities say it’s crucial to keep doors locked, windows up, and valuables out of sight in order to reduce the likelihood of more break-ins.
