Climber Killed in Grand Teton
Published at(JACKSON, WY) – A climber was killed in a fall on the Grand Teton Monday morning. Officials say the unidentified female, who was with a professional guide, fell at around 8 a.m. Knowing that the woman had died, recovery efforts were postponed when another climber slid about 150 feet on Paintbrush Divide nearby. The second climber was airlifted to EIRMC with serious injuries. Bad weather slowed teams attempting to reach the first climber later in the day, but Grand Teton Park authorities have yet to say if the recovery was successful.
