Construction Worker Killed in Accident

(AFTON, WY)  —  A St. Anthony man was killed in a construction accident in Star Valley Monday.   Officials say 23-year-old Killian Rigby was run over by a track hoe at a construction site in Afton. The accident was reported at around 6:30 p.m. Rigby was an employee of DePatco Construction in St. Anthony. The company was replacing an irrigation pipe at the intersection of U.S. Highway 93 and First Avenue. The incident remains under investigation.

    I would understand why this happened. Based on several eyewitness accounts for safety issues and faulty job site safety guidelines. DePatco thinks they are excluded from legal boundaries for many issues, including the lack of environmental controls in their gravel pits, and the traffic violations repeatedly carried out by the drivers they use to haul gravel to and from their project sites.
