(BLACKFOOT, ID) – Three Moreland residents were in court last week on poaching charges. Bingham County prosecutors say 52-year-old Bill Jones Jr. and his sons, 18-year-old Rhett Jones and an unidentified minor, illegally killed two deer along the Snake River west of Blackfoot last November.

The suspects, who did not have deer tags, reportedly used a rifle in an archery-only hunting zone. Detectives say they unlawfully used bait to lure in the animals.

All three lost their hunting privileges for a year. Both teens were also ordered to serve 100 hours of community service under the supervision of the Idaho Department of Fish and Game.
