The Padres will receive four prospects in return while also sending minor league pitcher Trevor Gott. Second baseman Taylor Lindsey, pitchers R.J. Alvarez and Elliot Morris, along with shortstop Jose Rondon were packaged together by the Angels. The deal is still pending a physical.

Currently holding a 1.09 earned run average with 24 saves, Street is fifth on the career saves list among active pitchers.

Street will join and Angels team that sits two games behind the Oakland Athletics, who hold the best record in baseball. In his tenth year, the closer has converted 258 saves and holds a career 2.87 ERA. The righty began his career in Oakland, pitching four years for the Athletics.
