Babar Suleman and his 17-year-old son Haris took off from American Samoa Wednesday morning before their plane crashed, according to a family spokesperson, Azher Khan.

The Coast Guard notified the family Wednesday morning that they found Haris Suleman’s body but had still not located Babar Suleman’s, Khan said.

The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that a single-engine Hawker Beechcraft BE36 crashed into the ocean under unknown circumstances after departing from Pago Pago International Airport. The agency said that preliminary reports indicated two individuals were on board and the Coast Guard had located the wreckage.
