Iona Seeks Annexation of Subdivisions

(IONA, ID) – The city of Iona wants to annex two subdivisions currently under the supervision of Bonneville County. Local News 8 reports that Iona will try to annex both the N’ur subdivision and Green Valley Estates. Rockwell Homes President Greg Hansen, who developed Green Valley Estates, says he’ll sue the city if it approves a force annexation. Many property owners in both subdivisions have also voiced concerns about the possibility of higher taxes and decreased property values that might come through annexation.
