ISU Developing Cancer-Fighting Isotope
Published at(POCATELLO, ID) – Idaho State University has been awarded a product license to begin research on a new, cancer-fighting isotope. Administrators say the isotope known as Copper-67 could reduce treatment times and harmful side effects associated with radiation therapy.
The university hopes to mass produce the isotope, which will then be used for testing to determine its feasibility in combating different types of cancer around the globe.
