Jackson Considering Property Deals

(JACKSON, WY) – The city of Jackson is considering plans to purchase private property on top of a slow-moving landslide. Officials say it’s crucial to remove soil so that ground movement can be stopped. The city wants to buy some real estate outright, then get easements for commercial property at the base of the hill near Budge Drive. They believe that would make it easier to construct permanent buttresses before next year’s spring thaw.
