Jay Leno to Be Mentor on “Last Comic Standing”
Published at(LOS ANGELES) — Former Tonight Show host Jay Leno will be the final comic mentor of the season as the “Title Round” of Last Comic Standing kicks-off Thursday on NBC.
Only five comics remain in the competition, and the “Last Comic Standing” will walk away with a prize package worth $250,000, including a cash award, a talent contract and a development deal for a television show.
The comedians will meet Leno in Las Vegas, and the final five get to ask the veteran comic a variety of questions about stand-up comedy.
The finalists will then perform all new sets for judges Roseanne Barr, Keenen Ivory Wayans and Russell Peters, who will determine which four are advancing to the next round, and which comic is headed home.
The season eight finale of Last Comic Standing will air Aug. 14.
