Maddux captured four Cy Young Awards and won 15 or more games for 17 straight seasons. He finishes his 23 season career with 355 wins, a 3.16 ERA, 3,371 strikeouts and a 1.14 WHIP

“I spent 12 years in Chicago, 11 in Atlanta, and both places are very special,” Maddux said. “Without the experiences in both cities, I would not be standing here today.”

Maddux wasn’t the only inductee to serve time in Atlanta. Glavine also pitched with Maddux, winning two CY Young Awards, while Cox coached the team to the 1995 World Series Championship.

“I’m truly humbled to stand here before you,” Cox said. “To Tom Glavine and Greg Maddux, and I have to mention the third member of the big three — John Smoltz — I can honestly say I would not be standing here if it weren’t for you guys.”

Thomas finishes his 19 major league seasons with two MVP Awards, a .301 batting average, 521 home runs and 1,704 RBIs.

Torre managed the New York Yankees to six World Series, winning four of them.

La Russa finishes his career third all-time in coaching victories (2,728) and won three World Series titles — one with the Athletics and two with the Cardinals.
