UPDATE: All charges against Omar Essam Mahmoud were dropped and the case was dismissed by Magistrate Judge Scott E. Axline on Sept. 29, 2015 following a court hearing, according to the Idaho Criminal Repository.

(POCATELLO, ID) – A man was arrested last month after pulling a gun on patrons at a Pocatello bar. Authorities say 27-year-old Omar Essam Mahmoud, an Egyptian national, was thrown out of the Chalk Horse bar on June 22, following a dispute with another customer. He returned a short time later and reportedly pointed a handgun at several people in the parking lot, before being wrestled to the ground and disarmed. He faces a felony charge of aggravated assault and is now out on bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday.
