The Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder hit another home run Wednesday night and also had the game winning hit in the bottom of the ninth inning to give his team a 3-2 win over the Atlanta Braves.

Kemp’s name has been the subject of numerous trade rumors, but the talks have seemed to fuel his production at the plate.

“It’s a great feeling knowing you helped the team win a game,” he said. “We’re pretty confident every day. It feels good to be in position to score a run or take that extra base. I’m not as fast as I want to be, but it’s coming.”

Over the last 10 games, Kemp has raised his batting average from .265 to .288 and is starting to revert back to his All-Star form.

With the win, the Dodgers now hold a three game lead over the San Francisco Giants for first place in the NL West; the Braves now trail the Washington Nationals by 1.5 games in the NL East.
