Open Carrier Gets Warning From KOA

(ARCO, ID)  —  An East Idaho man was the subject of controversy over the weekend at the KOA Kampgrounds in Arco. William Baker tells KPVI that he often openly carries a holstered handgun while walking his dogs on his own property adjacent to the campground. Last Friday, when campers reportedly complained about it, the KOA owner asked Baker to stop. Baker maintains that he’s not an activist, and Idaho law doesn’t prohibit him from openly carrying a firearm. He plans to contact KOA’s corporate headquarters to resolve the issue, if possible.
