Pacers Agree to Deal with Guard Rodney Stuckey
Published at(LAS VEGAS) — Now that Lance Stephenson has taken his talents to Charlotte, the Indiana Pacers have signed guard Rodney Stuckey to a one-year deal.
Terms of the deal have not been released yet.
Stuckey had spent his entire seven-year career with the Detroit Pistons, and while he never quite blossomed into the player many had hoped, he remains a great scoring option off the bench and sometimes as a spot starter.
Last season for the Pistons, 28-year-old Stuckey averaged 13.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game in 73 games.
Stuckey, who hasn’t played in the postseason since the 2008-2009 season, will go from one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference to the team THAT had the best record in the Eastern Conference this past season.
