Private Cargo Ship Launches for International Space Station with Supplies
Published at(NEW YORK) — After a series of delays, NASA said private company Orbital’s delivery flight to bring food, supplies, hardware and other materials to the International Space Station launched on Sunday.
The launch took place shortly before 1 p.m. on Sunday. The ship is expected to reach the International Space Station on July 16 and will remain in place for approximately one month.
NASA says the ship is carrying nearly 3,300 pounds of supplies and will “expand the research capability of the Expedition 40 crew members.”
