(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – Two paleontologists are digging in what may be the most important dinosaur fossil site in Idaho. Local News 8 reports that the fossil remnants in Bonneville County have yielded an estimated 200 specimens, and at least three previously unknown species. The dig, which is located in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, has the potential to produce many more specimens with further research. The site, which is believed to be an old riverbed, will likely be excavated for another couple of years.
