Speed Limits Increasing Thursday

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – Interstate traffic around eastern Idaho is about to speed up. Starting Thursday, vehicle traffic on Idaho freeways will increase to 80 miles per hour. Truck speed limits will also go up to 70 miles per hour. 65-mile-per-hour speed limits will remain in place in Idaho Falls and Pocatello, as well as other urban areas like Twin Falls and Boise. Speeds will not legally change until the signs are in place. Speeds on I-90 in northern Idaho will remain unchanged.
