Tracy Morgan Released from Rehab Hospital, Sues Walmart Over Deadly Accident

Virginia Sherwood/NBC(TRENTON, N.J.) — Comedian Tracy Morgan was released from a rehabilitation clinic Saturday following treatment for a June 7 car crash that killed one.
Morgan, who was seriously injured when a Walmart truck hit his limousine, will sue the retail company for negligence.
The truck, driven by Georgia resident Kevin Roper, was traveling at 65 miles per hour in a reduced-speed area at the time of the accident. A National Transportation Safety Board investigation found the sleep-deprived driver was going 20 miles per hour over the limit in a construction zone.
“Walmart was careless and negligent in the ownership and operation of its motor vehicle, which caused Mr. Morgan to suffer severe personal injuries,” an official court filing reads.
