(IDAHO FALLS, ID) — Bonneville County Deputies and Idaho Falls Police stopped a theft in progress early Tuesday morning.  The incident occurred at Capital Auto Body at 1979 North Woodruff.

A resident of a nearby apartment complex called police after seeing a green van pull into the business and an adult male jumping the fence.  He then began passing property over the fence to the second man, who put the items in the van.

Both men took off running when law enforcement arrived, but were both apprehended in a field behind the business.  Brian Michael Rogers of Idaho Falls was arrested for grand theft.  The 35-year-old also had two warrants for other crimes.  His accomplice, 55-year-old William C. Welleck, was charged with grand theft.
