Ronda Rousey remained undefeated, beating Alexis Davis via knockout just 16 seconds into their bout, retaining her women’s bantamweight title. Rousey improved to 10-0 with the victory and notched the second-fastest knockout in UFC history.

Davis, the number one contender, took a stiff right hand to the chin before Rousey threw her to the mat and finished the fight with a flurry of strikes. It was the first time that Davis (16-6) was finished in a fight since 2009.

In the other co-main event, middleweight champion Chris Weidman silenced critics once again. His unanimous decision victory over Lyoto Machida proved that the former All-American wrestler could go the distance after finishing each of his two previous championship fights.

Weidman (12-0), who won the title by knocking out Anderson Silva one year ago, controlled the first three rounds of the bout before Machida won the fourth. The final round was up for grabs until the champion scored a takedown in the final two minutes and outlasted Machida (21-5) to the bell.
