Yates Enters Race for State GOP Chair
Published at(IDAHO FALLS, ID) — Idaho Falls businessman Steve Yates announced Wednesday that he will be a candidate for Idaho Republican Party Chairman. In a release, Yates pointed out three areas of priority as a candidate and chairman: focus forward, linking grassroots and governance, and “coming home.”
Yates has spent 24 years working public policy issues at the Federal level. He also spent four years as Deputy Assistant to former Vice President Dick Cheney for National Security Affairs. He founded D.C. International Advisory in 2006 and moved the business and his family to Idaho Falls in 2011.
The Idaho Republican Party is scheduled to meet in August to select a new chairman.
