Asmus to Pursue Lawsuit Against Snake River

(BLACKFOOT, ID) – Tenured Snake River High School science teacher Elaine Asmus is considering a lawsuit to keep her job.
Asmus, who was put on probation earlier this year following a dispute with a co-worker, asked the school board to review the terms of her probation before renewing her contract.
KIDK reports that the school board allegedly allowed the deadline for her contract renewal to pass without due process. Asmus’ attorney, Paul Stark, says the probation plan was punitive and unprofessional.
