Burglars Target Garages in Pocatello

 

(POCATELLO, ID) – Burglars are targeting garages in the Highland area of Pocatello. KPVI reports that the suspects appear to be using automatic remotes and randomly driving through neighborhoods hoping that they’ll find a vulnerable house with an unsecured garage door.

In one case, a family lost about $1,200 in goods, including a laptop. Officials say automatic garage doors built before 1996 are considered the most susceptible to break-ins like these.
