(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – The number of Idaho high school graduates going on to pursue a college education is dropping. Experts tell Local News 8 that about 56 percent of students in Bonneville County are enrolling in postsecondary courses, a rate that is nearly identical to the state average.
The Albertson Foundation is hoping to increase that number to 60 percent. They say state support for education is crucial to improving that rate, particularly by promoting dual-credit coursework in high school and making tuition more affordable for residents.
