(POCATELLO, ID) – Pocatello city councilwoman Eva Nye is speaking out about the latest paving controversy.

Nye says an internal audit found that the city’s paving crews had done work in at least five other eastern Idaho towns, but only received compensation for one of those projects.

Nye maintains that she and her fellow council members were left in the dark about the issue, and is requesting the state Attorney General investigate.

Mayor Brian Blad tells KPVI that there are reciprocal arrangements between the cities to fully compensate Pocatello’s work crews. At least one mayor involved denies Blad’s claims.
