DUI Charges Refiled Against Pocatello Teacher

(POCATELLO, ID) – The state has re-filed felony DUI charges against Pocatello teacher Amy Smith.
Prosecutors had dismissed initial charges last month without prejudice, citing a lack of incriminating evidence including a toxicology report. The results of that report will be made public August 19, when Smith heads back to court.
Smith nearly struck someone in May while driving to school. She maintains that her impaired driving was the result of medications she’d been taking.
