(LAS VEGAS, NV) – A former Ririe man was killed in a shootout with police following a crime spree in Las Vegas earlier this week.  Twenty-seven-year-old Corey Winters and his accomplice, Natasha Jackson, broke into a stranger’s home, killed him, and assaulted his wife.
Winters was shot by officers after breaking into another home on Tuesday. Bonneville County prosecutors say Winters had a long criminal history in Idaho, and was forbidden to leave the state because he was on probation for a felony DUI.
Jackson remains in custody on a $400,000 bond.
