General Motors(DETROIT) — General Motors is now accepting claims related to faulty ignitions.

Anyone who was hurt or lost a loved one in accidents caused by a faulty ignition in a GM vehicle can now submit a claim for compensation.

Kenneth Feinberg, who oversaw the 9/11 and BP oil spill victims funds, will evaluate the claims.

The claims, which can be filed online or by mail, must be backed up by police and medical reports, photos, and maybe the actual car.

GM has set aside $400,000,000 to compensate victims. The deadline to file is December 31.
