Madison Memorial Outsourcing ER Operations

(REXBURG, ID) – Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg has begun outsourcing emergency room operations.

KIDK reports that the University of Utah’s health care division took over the ER last month in an effort to better meet the needs of the town’s growing population. Within a year, all ER staff members could become University of Utah employees.

Administrators say having more board-certified doctors in the hospital will mean less transfers to other facilities like EIRMC and Portneuf Medical Center.
