Markets Close Down on Friday After Another Data Breach

iStockphoto/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Amidst concerns of fighting in Ukraine and new of yet another data breach, stocks finished the week on a down note.
The Dow Jones Industrial finished Friday at 16662.91, down 50.67 from Thursday’s close.
The Nasdaq gained 11.93 to 4464.93 on Friday, however, the S&P 500 dropped 0.12 to 1955.06.
On Friday supermarket chain Supervalu announced that it had experienced a data breach putting customers who visited the company’s stores at risk. It was unclear how many customers were impacted by the breach.
