(POCATELLO, ID) – Pocatello schools are changing the way they handle students who are late on their lunch fees. Local News 8 reports that the district will only allow students to eat school lunches of their accounts aren’t overdrawn by more than $11.
Last year, the district had more than $17,000 in unpaid debts. Those who don’t pay up will have to make due with snacks provided by the school.
Administrators say the snacks will only be available for the first month of the school year.
