Pocatello Truck Driver Involved in Crash

(HAZELTON, ID) – A Pocatello man was involved in a serious crash with two semi-trailers Wednesday evening.
Idaho State Police say 48-year-old Matthew Eveland blew a tire and was struck from behind by 48-year-old Christopher Torrence, of Ontario, Oregon.
The accident caused Torrence’s truck to catch fire. Eveland’s trailer rolled on its side as a result of the collision. Eastbound traffic around the crash was blocked for more than five hours.
Torrence was airlifted to St. Luke’s in Twin Falls. His current condition is not yet known.
