Red Sox Make a Pair of Roster Moves
Published at(BOSTON) — The Boston Red Sox demoted center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. to Triple-A Pawtucket on Monday and recalled outfielder Mookie Betts.
In 112 games this season, Bradley was batting .216 with one home run and 30 RBIs. He also scored 45 runs and swiped eight bases.
Betts, who is joining the Red Sox for the third time this season, is hitting .244 with one homer and two RBIs in 41 at-bats. In his last ten games with the PawSox, Betts was batting .386.
Bradley leads all major league outfielders with 13 assists.
