Report: James Corden to Replace Craig Ferguson on “The Late Late Show”
Published at(LOS ANGELES) — Craig Ferguson isn’t stepping down from The Late Late Show until December, but CBS has reportedly already chosen his replacement.
A source tells The Wrap.com that actor James Corden will replace Ferguson.
The site notes CBS nor Corden’s rep has confirmed the news.
Corden can currently be seen on the big screen with Keira Knightley in Begin Again. The actor also has a role in Disney’s Into the Woods, due out in December.
In April, Ferguson announced that he planned to leave The Late Late Show at “the end of this year.” He’s hosted the show since 2005.
Ferguson’s announcement came right after David Letterman announced his retirement from CBS’ Late Show. He will be replaced by Stephen Colbert sometime next year.
