ABC 8414 SandraBullock? SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1407187540544ABC/Rick Rowell(NEW YORK) — What’s the secret to a woman’s success in Hollywood? Being in an Oscar-winning action film seems to help.

Gravity star Sandra Bullock is the highest-paid actress in Hollywood, at least she was from June 2013 to June 2014, according to Forbes.

Though women are making less than men, even in Hollywood, female-led action movies are making just as much as those starring men. But women have a long way to go. Forbes’ most recent top 10 highest-paid actresses earned a combined total of $226 million, compared to the $419 million that the top men earned.

Here are the seven highest-paid actresses in Hollywood:

Sandra Bullock, $51 million
Bullock, 50, didn’t win the Academy Award for “Best Actress” this year, but she still earned plenty of money from the film Gravity.

Jennifer Lawrence, $34 million
Lawrence, 23, earned $34 million from her work, including The Hunger Games series and X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Jennifer Aniston, $31 million
Not just your Friends star next door, Aniston, 45, earns her dough from film comedies such as Horrible Bosses and We’re the Millers, plus re-runs of the famous television sitcom and endorsement deals with Vitamin Water and Aveeno skincare.

Gwyneth Paltrow, $19 million
Paltrow, 41, has had an eventful year that included splitting with her rocker husband Chris Martin and getting paid from Marvel Comics’ Iron Man 3 and deals with Max Factor and Hugo Boss. Marvel Comics and ABC News are both owned by the Walt Disney Company.

Angelina Jolie, $18 million (tie)
Jolie, 39, starred in another Disney film, Maleficent, while advocating for the prosecution of war rape.

Cameron Diaz, $18 million (tie)
Diaz co-starred this year in the comedy The Other Woman, which provided the 41-year-old actress a chunk of the $190 million global box office earnings.

Scarlett Johansson, $17 million
This year is the first that Johansson has made Forbes’ Celebrity 100 list.

Johansson’s sci-fi/action film Lucy was released after the time frame of Forbes’ analysis, but there were plenty of gigs that contributed to the 29-year-old’s income in the last year. She was the voice of a computer system named Samantha in Her and played the Black Widow in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
