Taxes Could Go Up for Idaho Falls Homes
Published at(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – Property taxes could be going up in Idaho Falls. Local News 8 reports that the City Council is looking into ways to balance the budget and meet infrastructure needs.
Officials are considering a 1.5 percent tax levy on all taxable properties around the community. They say that would amount to about $15 more per year in taxes on a $100,000 home. The city has a proposed budget for the next fiscal year at $176 million.
A public hearing on the proposal will be held August 24.
