Toddler Triggers White House Lockdown
Published at(WASHINGTON) — A security breach at the White House turned out to be a laughing matter for the Secret Service.
On Thursday evening a toddler somehow got separated from his parents and squeezed through the north fence onto the president’s lawn, triggering security.
Per protocol, the White House was locked down, Pennsylvania Avenue was closed, and the gates were shut.
Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan said in a statement, “We were going to wait until he learned to talk to question him, but in lieu of that he got a timeout and was sent on way with parents.”
