It was the most points the team has scored in a game in 20 years.

Leading the way for Georgia was freshman running back Sony Michel who ran for 155 yards on just 10 carries while also scoring three touchdowns.

Freshman Isaiah McKenzie also had a big game as he returned a punt back for a touchdown.

Michel and McKenzie were both teammates together in high school at American Heritage High School in Plantation, Florida.

“I’m happy for him and I’m happy for myself,” said McKenzie, a wide receiver.

“We just came up here to do what we’d been doing. He’s been helping me out and I’ve been helping him out.”

Junior running back Todd Gurley also had a big game despite limited action on the field. He ran for 73 yards on just six carries.

“To know one of those two guys is going to get the ball is a smart thing,” Georgia head coach Mark Richt said. “They’re both very talented kids.”

Troy feel to 0-4 on the season.
