The incident hit at 9:51 a.m. local time, though no major damage was reported, according to the state’s Earthquake Center.

The quake interrupted a news conference in Anchorage held by Republican Senate candidate Dan Sullivan.

In Willow, resident Marinne DeMott said cans came off the shelves at a local food mart.

“…I was ready to get out away from the glass. It was shaking that good,” DeMott said.
