Amazon Makes Fire Phone Available for Just 99 Cents

Amazon.com, Inc.(NEW YORK) — Amazon announced on Monday that its Fire phone would now be sold for 99 cents with a two-year contract, a sharp price drop from its previous $199 retail price.
Customers who take advantage of the offer will also receive a free year of Amazon Prime membership, free unlimited cloud storage for photos and 32 GB of storage. Ian Freed, Vice President of Amazon Devices, called the deal, “another example of the value Amazon delivers to its customers.”
The Fire Phone has struggled to compete with Apple’s iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy in the smartphone market. The phone is available exclusively on AT&T’s wireless network.
