Anti-Gun Group Targeting Fred Meyer, Smith’s

(POCATELLO, ID) – A national gun control group wants to ban guns in Fred Meyer and other local stores. The Idaho chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is calling on Kroger-affiliated grocery stores to prohibit customers from carrying firearms.
The group, which is funded by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, also wants a nationwide ban open and concealed carrying, as well as popular sporting rifles like the AR-15.
Kroger executives say they’ll allow guns in stores as long as customers follow local and federal laws.
