The Bears (2-1) started their scoring early when safety Ryan Mundy returned an interception 45 yards on the second offensive play of the game.

Jay Cutler completed 23 of 38 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns — both to tight end Martellus Bennett — in the win.

“Right now I feel I’m very intelligent on the field,” Bennett said. “The game is getting a lot easier. I know the offense better. I know what Jay wants.”

The Jets (1-2) had problems on offense, turning the ball over three times and losing receiver Eric Decker to a hamstring injury in the first half.

Alshon Jeffrey had eight receptions for 105 yards in the win.
