Horschel shot a 2-under 68 and finished 11 under to hold off Rory McIlroy and Jim Furyk by three shots.

“It’s surreal, it really is,” Horschel said.  “It hits me a little bit, but it still doesn’t hit me.  I woke up this morning and I just had this sense of calm over me, which is a little unusual.”

“Just kept playing solid.  The back-nine could of been a little cleaner, but it was good enough to get the job done,” Horschel continued.

Horschel is expecting a baby any day and his wife watched from home as he drilled his tee shot onto the green for a two-putt par to finish at 11-under 269.

“Hopefully, she’s not going into labor right now,” Horschel said.

McIlroy struggled on Sunday, but looks forward to playing at the Ryder Cup.

“I just got really frustrated and just couldn’t muster the energy to try and get something going again,” McIlroy said.
