Cougar Spotted in Rexburg

(REXBURG, ID) – A woman reported seeing a mountain lion in Rexburg last week. Local News 8 reports that the animal was spotted in the Rexburg Bench area near the LDS temple at around midnight Wednesday.
The woman who saw it, however, didn’t notify police until 11 hours later. Fish and Game officials say it isn’t out of the ordinary to see mountain lions and other wildlife wander on the outskirts of town.
Authorities didn’t see any sign of the animal after receiving the call.
