“Dexter” Star to Take on Broadway’s “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”

Andrew H. Walker/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Dexter star Michael C. Hall is the latest actor to fill the platform boots of the transgender glam rock singer in the Broadway musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
Variety reports Hall will take over the role from Girls actor Andrew Rannells.
Neil Patrick Harris starred as the titular character, Hedwig, in the first Broadway production of the musical and earned a Tony Award for his portrayal.
Hall’s stint will run from Oct. 16 until Jan. 4.
Previously, Hall starred on Broadway in a number of productions, including The Realistic Joneses, Cabaret and Chicago.
