According to the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services, the teens started filtering out of the dorm at Woodland Hills Youth Development Center at 11:10 p.m. local time Wednesday.

Some of the juveniles were armed with sticks and metal pipes they found around the courtyard, authorities said, but at this point no injuries were reported. The teens roamed the campus but haven’t escaped. They are still located inside the facility’s perimeter fence.

“They’ve been everywhere…they’re popping up on the roof and running around,” Lt. N. Curtis with the Metro Nashville emergency communications center told ABC News.

Police were called to the scene, with a police helicopter circling overhead, and extra staff remaining on duty at the facility following Monday’s escape.

Some of the students in Wednesday night’s incident were also involved in Monday’s breakout, when 32 teens escaped Woodland Hills, the Tennessee Department of Child Services said.

The earlier incident occurred when teens kicked out metal panels under the windows in common areas of their dorms – and slipped out under a weak spot in the perimeter fence, authorities said. Six of the teens who escaped Monday remain on the loose.
