Door-to-Door Scam Hits Pocatello

(POCATELLO, ID) – Pocatello Police are warning residents about aggressive door-to-door sales teams.
The town requires all salespersons to be licensed with the city as long as they represent for-profit organizations or businesses. Many scams involve people selling subscriptions to magazines, which are often never delivered.
They’re also advising people about phone scams claiming to be from the IRS or Idaho State Police.
Those who fall prey to such scams are asked to take down a name and a call-back number, but to not give any personal information over the phone.
